About

Cleveland Redhead showcases the local food, artists, shops, businesses, entrepreneurs, events and the pieces of the puzzle that keep Cleveland beautiful.

Born and raised in Cleveland, OH.

Not all those who wander are lost. – J.R.R TOLKIEN

A wanderlust, though certainly not lost, Cleveland is and always will be home. Cleveland Redhead is home to stories, photographs and features of the people, places and things that define Cleveland.

A redhead in Cleveland.

I am a natural redhead, in the obvious sense that my hair curls a natural red, and that I enjoy acquainting myself and my camera with nature.  Luckily, time with nature is easily found just outside of downtown Cleveland, with rivers and valleys running through the suburbs  and Lake Erie right in our front yard.

Cleveland’s artful cuisine.

I aspire to live a lifestyle as natural and sustainable as possible. The keyword there is “aspire,” because while I am a vegetarian and enthralled by plant-based cuisine and medicine, I could also eat a whole box of ice cream sandwiches right now, to be completely honest with you. (Recycling the box counts for something, right?)

My point is that I love an organic kale salad just as much as I love a big, greasy pile of french fries. As with most things in life, it’s all about finding balance. With a smorgasbord of food options in Cleveland ranging from farm-to-table, vegan fare to greasy spoons and burritos bigger than your face, that balance is pretty easy to find.

I’ve learned to make healthy lifestyle choices as much as possible, but to be mindful that I’m only human. And as humans in the great Cleveland, OH, we are all lucky to have a world of delicious foods (oh, and don’t forget the beers) at our fingertips. So, why not enjoy it?

Travel, sustainability and green lifestyle.

My interests in travel, eco-urban design, holistic medicine and organic beauty products (specifically for rosacea) peaked while writing at Organic Spa Magazine. Here, I’ve had the pleasure of learning the ins and outs of the organic beauty and wellness industry from Editor-in-Chief and best selling author, Rona Berg. To read some samples of my work, click below.

Sometimes a picture says it all.

I enjoy photographing a little bit of everything from nature and landscapes to portraits and events. Follow me on Instagram for my latest work: @cleveland.redhead. I feel the constant need to create, to experience new things and to capture moments and memories.

Did I mention that I love dachshunds?

Last but not least, allow me to introduce you to my little dachshund sidekick, Nola (@nola_thedachshund). You’ll frequently find her in the kitchen begging for cheese or curled up like a sleepy donut while binge watching something on Netflix.

As you can see, Nola’s career in modeling is on the rise. If you’re looking for a cute pup brand ambassador, please contact Nola directly: nolathedachshund@gmail.com

Fun fact: She’s named after New Orleans, LA, where I spent my 21st birthday with my Mom, the coolest Mom ever.
